Mike Puckett
Amazing Truth Ministries seeks to glorify God with a three fold goal. Using primarily illusion, we seek to evangelize the lost, exhort the believer to holy living, and equip saints for a more effective ministry. Our deep desire is to help people of all ages come to know Jesus Christ and see them transformed through obedience as they apply God's word to their own lives in practical ways. It is this desire that led Mike into this unique ministry of using illusion to illustrate the principles of God's word. The Pucketts use their skills as illusionist performing in evangelistic festivals, churches, Upward events, orphanages, and schools internationally, to teach, and to train while sharing the "AMAZING TRUTH" of God's word in fun and memorable ways. Mike Puckett is a Next Generation Evangelist and is an approved Upward entertainer.

Passionate People...?

As we approach the end of the year and enjoy the Holiday season I have noticed that people have a tendency to become passionate about different things. "Black Friday" with its long lines, near riots, sometimes actual fights, possible injuries, and credit cards shows us that some people are passionate about getting a good deal. Driving through residential areas enjoying the lights and decorations with my family makes it very clear that some are very passionate about holiday displays. Many children, of all ages, are truly passionate about getting gifts. And all of this is done in the name of Christmas.

During this time we often hear mention of St. Nicholas. Nicholas is a historical man and not just a legend or the advertising gimmick we think of today. Nicholas of Myra (modern day Turkey) lived from about 280 AD to about 343 AD. He Loved God and had a reputation of being both kind and very generous. During the rule of the Roman emperor Diocletian, Nicholas was imprisoned for his faith. He was released from prison under Constantine the Great. Nicholas was also a man of passion, but not for holiday traditions, he was passionate about God. This fact was obvious to all. In 325 AD he attended the council of Nicea which met to consider the diety of Christ. When a certain member of the council would not back down from his teaching that Jesus was created by God and therefore inferior to God, Nicholas was so moved that he struck the man in the face. Nicholas died on December 6th probably 343AD, and this is how he to come to be associated with Christmas celebrations.

Those who know me well probably realize that I have a certain fondness, perhaps a passion for, brooms. For me, the broom is representative of a passion in my life, something I believe God has called me to do; helping people visualize the truth of God's word and apply it to their lives in practical ways.

Since the age of 17 I have spent hundreds of hours of my life balancing a broom. Balancing a broom is a graphic illustration to me that it is essential that I always keep my focus on God. A broom reminds me that my passion should be for God. It also reminds me to make sure my priorities are in line with HIS. As I become more passionate about my relationship with my Savior, I also become more passionate about His word, prayer, and helping others know Him.

There have been many men who have influenced me in my Christian life. Three names from that list standout to me as having truly changed my life. All were passionate about their relationship with God and had a passion for people. None of the three may realize how big of an impact they had on my life, in fact, two of them would probably be surprised by the impact they had on me. They are Pastor Carl Zimmerman, who inspired me to balance a broom, Pastor Jeremiah Rife, who modeled for me what it means to follow Christ regardless of what others think and the importance spending time in Gods world daily, and Larry Trout who taught me that we can have joy regardless of our circumstances.

As we approach Christmas and the end of yet another year, what is it that you are passionate about? Does your passion for God manifest itself in ways that change peoples' lives?

Thank you for your prayer, encouragement, and support. I thank God for each of you, and pray that the coming year will be one filled with passion.

Steps of Faith and Shy Boldness

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…” –Romans 1:16

The gospel of Christ; that sweet song of deliverance, unimaginable mercy, total dependence, it is who we are as Christians. Young or old, our story is the same in Christ.

I work at a women’s gym and one of my responsibilities is to sign up new members. The process is fairly simple. I greet the new perspective member and invite them to sit down with me. I tell them I want to get to know them, learn about their health, and show them how we can help them attain their fitness goals. These mini interviews are enjoyable and I often come away from the table feeling energized and excited for the new member as she sets out on her journey towards better health.

During these times, I learn a lot about the woman sitting before me. Her health history, what her marriage is like, her children, and her beliefs. I’ve interviewed the atheist, the agnostic, the cultist, and here and there, the Christian. I admit that sometimes, I really have to bite my tongue, to keep from disagreeing with the prospective new member.

It’s hard to be a Christian in the work place, isn’t it?

The other day, I sat down with the fifty-two-year old daughter of one of our members. Her face told of a life lived hard and fast, but she had a sweetness about her that I was instantly drawn to. As we discussed her health, she admitted that she quit smoking several months ago. I high fived her and congratulated her and her accomplishment.

When I asked why she was ready to take control of her health now, she replied, “It’s been a long time in coming. I want to take better care of myself.” She paused and smiled shyly at me. “I just got saved…” and her voice trailed off.

I dropped my pen and grabbed her hands in mine, “That’s wonderful news sister! Welcome to the family!” A dazzling smile appeared on her face and we quietly rejoiced over the One who saved her from her sins.

Her steps of faith and shy boldness led her to confess her new found faith to me, a total stranger. I admired her willingness to spread the gospel, wherever Christ would lead.

May this be said of each of us!

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature…” –Mark 16:15

Is Jesus Enough?

I have a dear friend, Sally, who has been through a lot these last few years. Trouble in her marriage, trouble with her children, and difficulties with extended family, have made her life nearly soap-opera like. Her neighbors have been witness to these painful moments, so there is no hiding it and pretending that she is the “perfect” Christian wife and mother.

My friend had pretty much written off her Christian testimony. “I’m more of a terrible warning, than shinning example,” she sighed.

Over the weekend, something changed. My friend Sally has a neighbor who she has prayed for over the years. There have been occasions when this neighbor has even requested prayer from Sally, even though she has said that she “Doesn’t believe all that Jesus stuff.”

The neighbor told Sally she was thinking of going to church. Sally nearly fell out of her chair, but she quickly regained her poise and answered her friend’s questions about the church she attends. Sally told her she’d be happy to go with her…any time!

Later that day, as Sally and I talked on the phone, she told me how surprised she was by her neighbor’s request for information about her church. Apparently, through all the difficult times, during the bad moments, the neighbor had been watching Sally closely. She was looking for failure but what she found instead of a woman clinging, sometimes desperately, to the cross of Christ.

The lost are watching. They are searching for truth. Some are like the Ethiopian whom Philip met on that desert road heading into Gaza. They want answers.

“Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he (the Ethiopian) said, “Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?” –Acts 8:30-31

The beauty of the Christian life is not that we are perfect, or have it all figured out. It’s simply Jesus. His grace. His mercy. His love.

And wonderfully, Jesus is enough.

The Best Way to Stay Connected….Skype, FB, IM, Twitter…???

Cell phones, Email, Snail Mail, Blogs, Facebook, IM, Twitter, MySpace, Skype, High Five, Video Chat, sitting on the porch with family and friends, all these fill a basic need- to have fellowship and stay connected in a changing world. Even with communication avenues changing and getting faster almost daily, there is still a communication that is faster and more intimate than any of these-PRAYER!

Even though I do not get the “your mail has been delivered successfully” message back in my inbox, I can be assured that God HAS received my prayer and the Holy Spirit is interceding on my behalf to bring about good. However, I do not always see God working immediately, but then again other times I am privileged to see what God is doing. This past week I received two such letters that once again reminded me of God’s active work in the lives of people.

“Mike, I wanted to give you an update on a couple that came to your show… This was the couple who came to the show you did for our morning service during the weekend of Landing Days 2008. I think I already told you that after coming to our church to see the magic show, they began meeting with Pastor Joe on a regular basis to work on their faith. Well, in August this year they were baptized together at our river service. It’s really neat to see how you were used to lead these people to baptism and a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Just thought I'd let you know.” (Sam)
Another message came from a couple who brought their granddaughter to the Amazing Truth presentation. The granddaughter had never really liked church, but after coming to the illusion show, she was full of questions about the Bible. A short time later she started attending church and this past July she accepted the free gift of salvation.

In each of these cases it was over a year before I knew how my prayer was answered. Yes, God received my prayer and all along He was answering those prayers in His time and in His way. Whether prayer for salvation for the lost, the prayer for provision while seeking employment, or the prayer that comes while waiting in a hospital room with a sick or dying loved one, God desires this intimate communication with us. Next time I FB, IM, or Skype someone on the other side of the world, I am going to make it a reminder of that faster and more intimate relationship I have with the Creator of the Universe.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Can I See Your References?

" You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts"
2 Corinthians 3:2-3

Did you know that Amazing Truth not only performs, but that we also work to equip others for fulfilling the calling God has placed upon them in their sphere of influence.

After a show for a camp with a thrust in missions, Mike talked with the leader who would be giving the invitation at the end of camp. She would be asking the children to commit their lives to serving God in full time service. She had many great ideas of how she wanted to approach this, but it was not coming together. Here is the letter she wrote letting us know what happened.

"Just a note to say that by His grace the session on "The Call" went well. There were over ten children who indicated that they felt the Lord directing them into full-time service of some sort. I did the balloon trick right at the end. I decided the hardest thing about doing this trick and I'll bet most is to keep talking while you are doing whatever. There were oohs and awes about that simple illustration and so I know the Lord used it to make a point.

Thanks so much for your kind contribution to that talk. Many blessings on your work that God would bring much fruit and many opportunities to make connections with people for Christ."

Opportunities to teach balloon tying and simple object lessons to faithful people have opened doors for many to share their faith or sometimes just open a conversation. A deputy sheriff recently asked Mike to teach him some simple things he could use in his work. Although this deputy has limitations as to what he can say, he wants to be used of God.
Are there people who are in your sphere of influence who you can equip or encourage in fulfilling the calling God has placed upon their lives. Are your reference letters being written on paper or the hearts of people?

From our hearts...
In the June newsletter, we asked for prayer for Nathan and his scoliosis treatment. In comparing the earlier x-rays to the ones just taken Nathan is making remarkable changes and is better able to withstand the treatment. We are grateful for your continued prayers.

Kevin has returned from Costa Rica and is now a student at Moody Bible Institute. We appreciate your prayers for him as God reveals His plans for Kevin's life.

"Without Me Uttering A Word"

My Grandmother is dying. I traveled south with my brothers to see her recently. While it was a heart-wrenching trip, I rejoice to know that her journey on earth will end in the Savior’s arms. I find joy, not in her suffering, but in her faith. It is something that only she and I share. The rest of our family are non-believers.

Watching my brothers’ despair in her condition, weeping bitter tears, and witnessing their attempts to drown their fears in Southern Comfort, was unsettling at best. Yet, I was determined that there would be no tension between us, that in everything I said and did, they would find no fault. A herculean task at times, but God is so good.

In the midst of the chaos He provided a lifeline in the form of a chaplain friend of ours. Months ago, this Godly man had followed the Lord’s call to this small southern Oregon town. None of us could have known what the future would hold, yet there he was, willing to visit my Omi, and cooking me dinner.

My brothers had refused the dinner invitation; the one declaring he isn’t comfortable around new people, the other admitting that he was afraid our “friend” would attempt to “save him”. I assured him that ganging up on him was not in the plan and that I don’t hire others to do my dirty work. “If anyone is going to beat you up with the Bible, it will be me,” I laughed.

“And you do,” he muttered.

My brothers have no hope for the future and staring death in the face caused both of them to once again harden their hearts towards Jesus. I watched in prayerful silence, remembering the words of the hymn, What a Friend We Have in Jesus,

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer.

My heart rejoiced knowing that this life, for my Omi, is not the end. Yet my brothers are dying, right before my eyes, without hope, without faith, without peace. For them, death is a bitter pill to swallow and I wondered if they would ever turn from their sin to the Savior. I wondered if my life reflected anything of Jesus’ love. Had I failed both in words and deed?

During the long drive home, as the silence hung between us, one of my brothers commented on how difficult this was for him, but that he was glad that he’d made the journey to see Omi. My other brother shared his lament, saying that this was the hardest thing he had ever done. I said nothing.

“But this isn’t affecting you the same way it’s affecting us. Why is that?” My brother said to me, his brown eyes searching mine.

I couldn’t help but smile.

“You know why,” I said.

The world around us is dying. Family, friends, strangers are all speeding towards a Godless eternity. Often times they don’t want to hear our words. They strikeout at the very thought of Jesus Christ. They drown their sorrow in alcohol, relationships, and materialism. The lost will use any means necessary to shut the Believer up, to lock us down, to bind us.

Yet…they cannot stop the light of Christ from shining from your very life. Sometimes it will be your words that may strike to the heart of the matter. Other times it will be your very life. Christ has given us the great gifts of peace and joy during dark times. These gifts should be sprinkled throughout your work place, your neighborhood, and among the lost in your own household.

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”

I never uttered a single world of Christ on our trip. I didn’t pray out loud. I left my judgmental attitude at home. I held fast to the peace of God and let my heart find joy in His promise.

And His light shined in that dark place without me uttering a word.

Are You Kainotophobic?

“Now I want you to know, brethren that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole Praetorian Guard and to everyone else, and that most of the brethren trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.” Philippians 1:12-14

As summer comes to an end and fall is knocking at the door, changes occur.... changes in schedule, changes in chores around the house, and changes in the summer routines to a more structured time for some of us. Some changes may be unwanted, but as we embrace the faithfulness of God and His promises we will grow through the time of change!

Recently, as we spent an evening with a group of dear friends, laughing, eating and sharing the goodness of God's faithfulness with one another the comment was made "this may be the last time when we will all be together like this again". (Many of you have said this concerning your family as well). The younger adults in this group have grown up with one another, and struggled together through many growing pains finally reaching adulthood as friends, and are now off going to school and working in ministries of their own. Throughout the evening the grandparent, parents and younger children listened to the stories of God's work in and through these adult children this past summer and their plans of ministry and further school this fall. They are becoming the men and women that God designed them to be.

Many of you are facing change also. If we continue to focus on the circumstances, and choose not to embrace what God has in store for the future we will miss many opportunities for growth and sharing God’s incredible hope with others. No matter what changes may occur, our focus, like Paul’s, must be to see what God is doing and join Him in His work.

Changes are Coming

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God.
-1 Corinthians 3:18-19a

Our youngest child is beginning her final year of high school this fall. It’s an amazing time for my husband and me as we realize that in a very short time our nest will be empty. Changes are coming, big changes, and I wonder if we are ready.

For the past twenty years we have mainly devoted ourselves to raising our children, teaching them the truth of God, and planting seeds of evangelism in their souls. Truth be told, they have been our main focus, our small field, if you will. Not that there haven’t been other fields of God we’ve tilled, but when I look back I realize how narrow my view of the world has been. As a stay at home mother and homeschooler, my world was very small.

Together, my husband and I decided it was time for our world to expand. We toyed with serving overseas; after all, we would now have time to really work for God.

Then the wise voice of a friend broke through our thoughts and reminded us of the great need here at home. Our non-Christian family, our hurting neighbors, our lonely elderly, folks who are often ignored or worse, forgotten. What about the young families in our church who are struggling financially?

The world tells us that these years between our empty nest and the day we may become grandparents is a time for US. It should be a time devoted to selfish ambition, vain attempts at retrieving youth, and more ME time. Yet, Jesus stands before us, beckoning forward to new fields and new work for His names sake.

The world may find it foolish that we are choosing to serve our God instead of serving ourselves, but that’s okay. We’ve been foolish before and more than likely, in the eyes of the lost, we will be foolish again. Yet the rich rewards of a life LIVED for Jesus promises a much happier and a more fulfilling future.

What does your future hold? Is your nest empty or are your little chicks still carefully protected under your wings? Jesus tells us that the time is short, so indeed it is. Make these days count, no matter what road you are traveling down.

Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God
-1 Corinthians 4:1

Blueberry Harvest

An exciting time of year in our household is always harvest time, when all of our favorite things are picked, frozen, canned, pickled, and eaten. Yes, there is also the eating as one picks to remind one of the future joys that will come as a result of the work.
Recently, we stopped after a show to pick blueberries. As we picked, Stephen noticed that there were a lot of big, dark blue blueberries, some big but not so blue, and still a lot of small green ones. He tried eating each of these and had a definite preference. Although all had the opportunity to be picked, not all were ready, and some would never be ready to fulfill their purpose. As I continued picking, I thought of this in relation to evangelism. There are many out there who are ripe for harvest. When told the good news that Jesus, the Creator, lived a sinless life, died as the atonement for their sin, and rose again the third day, conquering death they are ready to accept this gift with the ease of the ripe berry falling off the bush. However, there is the fruit that still needs water, nutrients and sunshine before they are ready to harvest. Some will never fulfill their purpose of glorifying the Creator. Many are still in need of the extra Sonshine, water, and nutrients of hearing and seeing the gospel proclaimed. Unlike blueberries it is difficult to tell with people if they are ready for harvest. Thus rejoice whenever you share the gospel even if you are not the one who sees the harvest.

No Greater Joy

I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. Some of the traveling teachers recently returned and made me very happy by telling me about your faithfulness and that you are living according to the truth.

I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are
following the truth.”
3 John 1:2-5

As I write this, our oldest son, Kevin, has just landed in Houston on the first leg of his trip to Costa Rica. He will be attending the Spanish Language Institute of Costa Rica run by Latin American Missions and working with local missionaries. Join us in prayer as he pursues God’s plan for his life and this great adventure in Costa Rica.

Summer is often the season of the short term mission trip. We have received many letters requesting financial and/or prayer support. We are thrilled as we note each one who is trekking to distant lands carrying the Good News with them. Some are currently serving in full time missions, while others are preparing for careers on the mission field. The young, the old, each faithful and devoted, are journeying onto roads that the Lord has spread before them. This is EXCITING to see God stirring so many hearts.

“So we ourselves should support them so
that we can be their partners as they teach the truth.”
3 John 1:8

In our own backyards, sometimes quite literally, the lost and lonely wait…

Our nine-year-old son, Stephen, and his eleven-year-old friend, Sarah, were recently playing with another girl in our neighborhood. As they played Stephen and Sarah were given the opportunity to introduce this child to Jesus. Imagine their excitement and delight as they prayed with their friend to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. It is a moment that each child will remember and that God has used to change each of their lives. Right there in their backyard.

It does not matter what your age, occupation, or economic standing may be we each have a calling to take part in what God is doing around us. Look for the opportunities He is laying before you. Join Him! The fields are ripe for the harvest! We would love to hear your stories of ways you are participating and championing God’s missionary heart for the people around you. There are NO coincidences in God’s plans.

“Let us see that we keep God before our eyes; that we walk in His
ways and seek to glorify Him in everything, great and small.”

~Hudson Taylor

At the end of May, our ministry partner Jeff LaTray, scheduled Amazing Truth to appear on the cable show he produces, Answers for a Thirsty World. We were wildly ecstatic to see how God brought the studio audience together. Both Christians and pre-believers were there participating and hearing the gospel. The show reached beyond the studio and into the homes of others. Who knows where the Lord has planted seeds only waiting to be nurtured by a friend, a co-worker or neighbor.

And the Lord used that event to introduce two families who share similar challenges. They can now exhort and encourage each other through difficult times. Isn’t the Lord good in the way he will take something so simple and use it to minister to His children?

Our summer schedule takes us to a local church here in Portland and then out to the wilds of Eastern Oregon for several presentations and then back towards Tacoma area. In July we will spend some time in Southern Oregon and Northern California. We covet your prayers! Just as Paul sent Timothy and John Mark to spread his ministry, if you know anyone who would be interested in Amazing Truth Ministries in reaching their sphere of influence with the gospel please tell them about us (and let us know too!). We would be happy to send our newest DVD and information.

Rehearsal Studio Update!

Thanks to all who have and are working together in this much needed rehearsal area. Insulation, sheet rock, painting, and gutters are still left, before the final building inspection and we are permitted to use it.

The Harvest is Plentiful

In 2008 over 6000 heard the message through Amazing Truth Ministries with 76 decisions for Christ. Most of these events were held at smaller churches holding outreach events and schools.
Mike spoke at four conferences with 2-4 seminars at each conference helping to equip others in their ministries.

In addition to these events we also were involved in performing workshops and secular shows with a strong moral message, and were often able to share Christ in one-on-one conversations afterwards. These included an additional 5000+.

Thus far in 2009, 136 decisions have been made. Some of these have been for salvation and others about sin and a deeper commitment to Christ.
Those of you, who give financially, pray, encourage, and tell others about Amazing Truth's outreach events are all co-laborers with us for t he sake of the gospel.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11
Many hands, as the Scottish proverb says, make light work, because it is but little for everyone. Whether it is a child cleaning his room, cooking, building or laboring over yard tasks - working with a friend makes the job easier. We have each experienced the blessing of working within a group; the ladies who join together to make meals for a shut-in, the men who raise a barn together, the children who collect soda cans for a worthy cause, all would agree that the blessings are many. A completed project, a job done well, is one of life's many rewards. A reward that is best shared with friends. This is also true from a spiritual perspective. When we work together and join God in what He is doing, the task seems somehow lighter. The problem lies in the fact that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. There is indeed much to do! Two years ago, God planted the dream of a children's crusade in two women. Because of the faithful prayers and others joining in the labor, this dream has become a reality. May 2nd, the crusade will go forth, wielding the shield of faith and walking in the Gospel of peace. How many will come? How many will put on the helmet of salvation? We may truly never know this side of heaven, but the opportunity that God has laid before us is incredible.
Over the past several months, we have learned that four people in our extended family may not live through the year. Each of these has heard the gospel many times, but sadly most have not accepted God's gift. (One of these four went into a Christ-less eternity yesterday.) This fact weighs heavy upon our hearts, and yet it also energizes us as we present the Amazing Truth about the abundant life available through Jesus Christ. Who is it in your family, in your neighborhood, at your job that desperately needs the good news? Christ urges each of us to do the work of an evangelist wherever He has placed us. Each time Amazing Truth Ministries presents the gospel someone's loved ones hears the message. Perhaps this time one of your relatives may be the one who is ready to embrace eternal life through Jesus Christ.

After School Bible Club-A Great Place to Meet Jesus

A vital ministry we were privelegded to partner with was After School Bible Club. This club has just begun, and at this point they only publicize it through word of mouth. At the close of the presentation, Mike vividly illustrated the ABC's of what it means to surrender to Jesus. What joy to see these children respond to the gospel! Thanks to Gerhard, Carrie, and many other faithful leaders who have joined together in reaching the world with Christ.

Join the Cause

The Cause:
The gift of salvation; a gift offered to all mankind free of charge. Yet for many, that gift remains unwrapped. There are those who believe that the gift is a trick, a fantasy, which like a magician’s slight of hand will fool their intellect and leave them with an empty gift box. However, God’s free gift is real and no trick.
This is the message in a nutshell that Amazing Truth Ministries presents to audiences.

Join the Cause:
Prayer:
As you and I pray for others we begin to not only see a world in need of the Savior but God also opens our eyes to ways we can share this message.

Tell others: Whether through inviting others to hear a presentation like the theatrical illusion of Amazing Truth or telling a neighbor, God has placed a calling on each of us to share His FREE GIFT of Salvation. If you have fears when sharing your faith, as I do, there are tools to help you be more at ease while obeying this exciting command.

Giving: We live in a culture that teaches us to live for our self, but God gives us a counter-cultural message…. “It is more blessed to give than to receive” Give generously. “For God so loved the world that HE GAVE…”

Consider with us...

These days, though the Christmas season is upon us, there are many that are fearful. The specters of unemployment, financial worries, health insurance, hunger, and safety cast a dark shadow on this, the most joyful time of the year. We, as Christians, have the honor of living in these times, of shining the bright light of Christ into our neighborhoods, schools, and work places. People are worried. They are scared. They are lonely. Those who live without Christ, live without hope. It is our desire and privilege to share THE HOPE with many who so desperately need it. As we face 2009 and the ministry opportunities before us, we pray that you will join us. We know that our great and mighty God has a plan for all mankind. Won’t you be a part of His plan spreading the word of salvation; the word of real hope and real peace?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you
And not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Have a Blessed Christmas sharing THE HOPE with others!

Become "Grabbers of the Impossible"

“Christ wants not nibblers of the possible, but grabbers of the impossible…” (CT Studd)
Yes, let us together grab the impossible to make an impact for His Kingdom. Throughout many places in Idaho and Montana we were told time and again that they have NEVER seen anything that explains the gospel so clearly, and that no other ministry has EVER come to their town to do an outreach event. The opportunity is great all over the world.
Thank you to all who pray, give faithfully, tell others about this ministry and make it possible for Amazing Truth to go to these places and present the gospel! There were times Amazing Truth presented to 20% of the population of the community.
At one Christian school a 15 year old came to us after and wanted to know why we said that not everyone was going to heaven. She knew enough to know that the Bible said “at the name of JESUS every knee shall bow”. Mike explained it would be too late for those who bowed at that time. The time to bow the knee to Jesus is NOW!
At a small church in Montana, a couple brought a godly, elderly gentleman who over a year ago had had a heart attack and was without oxygen for some time. This has left him with many disabilities and he also cannot speak. He usually comes to events and sleeps the entire time; however, this time he not only stayed awake, but made noise at appropriate times.
We saw many come to know Jesus, and many want to discover more about Him. At a Christian school in Idaho, there were 50 children who raised their hands to accept Christ.

Thank You

Dear Puckett family,
I want to personally thank you for coming to our school last Friday and sharing God’s Word through your amazing show. We were all encouraged in our walk with the Lord. I appreciate the gospel message shared with our students. Many of the teachers have shared in staff meetings the need to frequently share the gospel message even to children who profess to know Christ.
Your show reminded me of something in my past. About 36 years ago I went to an Andre Cole Illusion show sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ and heard the gospel message for the first time along with my boyfriend, and now, husband. We responded to the Holy Spirit’s tug and accepted Christ not to long after that. I praise God for the ministry that Andre Kole and your family have in presenting the gospel in such a creative way.
Thanks for being obedient to His call,
God bless you,
Joan Oster
Vice Principal

"Because Salvation is NO ILLUSION"

In Twin Falls, Idaho many came to know Christ as the AMAZING TRUTH of the gospel was presenting through the theatrical illusion. How exciting to see God's Spirit move as hands were raised to accept Christ throughout the entire audience. Pray for the Pastor as he follows-up with these.
This was also a time renewing frienships and swaping stories with old friends.

Our Choices Today May Change Our Future

Aberdeen, Idaho Public Schools hosted us during the day where we gave a moral message including a visual picture as to how the choices we make today can sometimes change us for the rest of our life. Later that evening Calvary Chapel of Aberdeen hosted us as we shared once again at the Aberdeen High School Auditorium.

Is that Dog for Sale?

We walked to the post office, and Matthew stayed outside with our golden retriever. As he stood there a cowboy looking man camedown the street, walked part way across the road and said in a monitone voice"Is that dog for sale?"
Matthew anwered "No".
The man walked into the store, and when he came back out he said, "Well, if that dog were for sale, how much would he be?"
Matthew answered, "I don't know, but he is not so it doesn't much matter".
The man smiled and said, "Good answer".
